Annual Meeting of the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, May 22nd-25th, Ghent
This year, the annual meeting of the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity takes place in Ghent (Belgium). The meeting consists of three days of keynote sessions, orals, workshops and symposia. The full program can be found here. On thursday, Ann Desmet and Ilse Debourdeaudhuij will present the results of a systematic review of studies on serious games for health promotion (with a dual focus on health promotion theory and game design theory) in symposium 17: ‘The effectiveness of serious games in promoting a healthy diet and physical activity’. Other members of the symposium are Ian Dunwell, Tom Baranowski and Debbe Thompson.
Our proposal for a symposium on the ‘Importance of Game and Behavioral Change Theory in Creating Effective Serious Video Games for Health Promotion’ was accepted for the Annual meeting of the International Society for Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity’. Sara Bastiaensens and Ann Desmet will present a poster on the Friendly ATTAC project at the COST action IS0801 conference on cyberbullying in Paris. We are glad to announce that our submission on the Friendly Attac project was accepted for IR 13.0, the annual conference of the Association of Internet Researchers. This conference will take place in Salford, UK (Oct 18th-21th).
